About Kaizen Dojo

Kaizen Banner

Kaizen Dojo- the word kaizen means “continuous and never ending improvement” and Dojo is the place that we practice karate. The style of karate practiced at Kaizen Dojo is Shotokan Karate. This is a traditional Japanese style of karate. Kaizen Dojo is directed by Chief Instructor Sensei Brendan Perry 7th Dan.

We not only do karate at Kaizen Dojo, but also fitness classes such as TRX, Yoga, Plyometrics and Callanetics courses. Special classes are run specifically for children to enhance their fitness and agility for karate and sports in general.

Kaizen Dojo is the central training facility and administrative headquarters of Kaizen Ireland a grouping of dojos with the same dedication and ethos to traditional and sport Karate.

Why Join?

When you make the decision to begin karate, you are deciding to begin a personal journey, where you will grow, not only in your knowledge of karate, but in your knowledge of yourself. Through your karate training you will reach new limits both physically and mentally in this Japanese martial art. People start karate training for various reasons, but the most common is for self-defence. However there are many things that karate practice can teach you, such as confidence, self-discipline, focus as well as a fun interesting way to exercise and keep fit.

We also cater for people who want to compete in the sport element of karate. We have produced World , European & National Champions . At present, a current member of the Irish Team, Irish National Champion 2014 and the ladies kumite WSKF World Iindividual Champion 2013 ( Nicole Perry ) trains at Kaizen Dojo.
